This page is mainly for the submission of the prototype, the world bible, the GDD, WDD and all the photos along the way. Overall creating this prototype has been quite fun as it was different from what I've done before. Creating the game world first, the map layout and the characters alongside it came with great ideas.
I chose to do a physical prototype because I wanted to get most of the game mechanics in and show them off which I knew would take longer on Maya or unity. Like creating all the coins and making the moving creatures and such. Originally as I've said prior, the characters made X knight and so on were made in September while staring into a blazing fire. I used the original drawings to develop these game pieces and forge the world around them.
Making the game world was difficult however as I had many different ideas, one was to just have the volcano on top of scorpion island as the prototype and have the players move around the outer area. Or have the game world prototype as all the different islands; this I would like to cover another time since there are so many cool things to do outside my prototype which I would love to make further digital products of.
Thestorus island would look more like a colosseum/arena, I would make Tortagun island with its octagon like prison with its individual sectors. As well as the mysterious Starburst island and the creature that lies within in slumber and finally the Destiny Clan Island with its great towering oak tree in which the cult that on the island lives there.
