This page is mainly for showing off my first prototypes of my X knight: conquest of scorpion island prototypes. Down below are pictures of my plans as well as some simple pieces I made and ideas recycled from my DT classes in secondary school where I made a fruit salad board game.  This was something quick I made early on just to have any idea for what the centre of my final idea of the game board would look like as well as the character stands and pathways in-between.

Scorpion island and X knight to do list

My initial to do list was to create a square prototype game board with circular tiles to jump on and lava hazards in-between. There would two different styles for characters, the Knights and the animal beasts. I will be making a GDD and WDD as well as a world bible and the physical product video.

Laser cut preparation, X knight logo I made and concept of the origin of my idea for X knight when I looked into the campfire.

I later on had the ide of using the laser cutter to cut out physical versions of the Knight characters, I had made the file for it which meant that the outside outline of the character is red which is what the laser cutter will cut out but the inside parts are black so that the laser cutter just marks it without cutting it completely.
I had also made the X knight logo made out of bones and a skull and ribcage. I wanted to add a mace and sword design to each side of the X but this was never done. And the picture on the right is a reimagining of what I saw in a campfire in early September for which was the inspiration of X knight.

First prototype, game board with no centre area.

characters and whisper duel spinning plate

Here at the bottom of the page are my starting prototype photos of my progress. The characters are the same from my early designs and the spinning disc is the whisper duels game mechanic.  The game board above does not have its centre piece slid into it yet but you can see the spots and the obsidian walls/giant's walls/doors on it too with the hexagonal patches for the players to move across. There are small blue bits as a water design and open hexagonal areas for the lava pads.
