For my game world prototype, I would be focusing on the playable aspect around my X Knight game idea. This idea has already gotten plenty of attention and character design/development over in Gianna's lessons but in this case, I will be using the idea itself, the assets created, and the ideas planned out to create a board game version with themed locations, obstacles and choices which will change up the gameplay.

Some ideas were not left in the final current prototype like the spinning paddles of the cannon. The coloured dice mechanic I am still aware of but it's usage in not present as much. The designs too of the flying knight animal has changed to into Owl Knight. Once I found an animal that could fly and have strong enough legs to carry objects, I settled on the Eagle owl. The grass and bubble pad would just be made with fake grass and bubble wrap.

My first initial idea was that X knight would have the player looking for a lost treasure in the shape of a golden peacock's feather statue. This was one of the first steps of the worldbuilding of Quarter town. Quarter twon itself had many different early first designs that are all still very cool and unique. They each show a side of the town that is either in daytime/night-time or in different weather conditions. The second picture gave me the idea to have Quarter town as the centre of the game board surround by a water moat and grassy hills.

Around October and November I had a visit to the Wallace collection Knight armoury museum, when I went I took photographs, made drawings and took notes of certain pieces. These drawings below are taken from armour parts and helmets on display as well as some daggers, swords and leg pads. Some of these design were used to create digital versions of my X knight characters which were done in November for another project but helped with the world building for this prototype too.
