These pictures and photos are the first designs of the Scorpion district map as well as the first ideas of Quarter town too. This was my latest introduction to map making using a piece of tracing paper over each layer to show development over time how the land changed or got destroyed or if any new development happened. The first picture is an early design of Quarter town while the right picture shows it develop into the scorpion island with the volcano in the middle. Four other islands have also appeared in the sea around it.

This last layer of the map shows Scorpion island in it's truest form, the fact is the island is sat on top of a giant scorpions corpse from a battle long ago against another giant creature. At this point the water level has gone down to show this and the other islands have developed too.
