new jade minecart code

I attended at the beginning of February a new pitching session requesting help from the year two's in my Games course. I simply asked for someone who could code or program elements and game mechanics into my game. I also asked if anyone had experience in modelling or sounds and music. Luckily two people who had not been requested prior said they love the idea and would like to help me. These two students were "Jade" and "Tung". Both were big coders and programmers who wanted to work with year 3 for their current project brief. We together started a discord group in order to share our ideas and questions on what was to be made.
I am not disappointed about not acquiring someone for modelling or animation as what I have made on my own is really cool and I am proud of the skills I have acquired during this process.

I edited my project brief and my production timeline to include what guide lining timelines I would like my group to go by when making their individual collaboration parts of my project.

scripts by year twos

The scripts made by the year twos included ones for the drawbridge, the pressure pads, the buttons, the health bars, the minecart, the hazards, the checkpoints, the player scripts and zoom camera, the switching character function and the dropping platforms scripts. There were some colour changing light elements too. I thank them for their work as its made my game function more and feel more realistic to an indie game.
Tung was responsible for the interactable elements, whereas Jade made the more intricate scripts and player's movement smoother for mechanics such as the drawbridges and the minecart.

Asking Apollo for help

Eternity drawing reference for Apollo

Upon waiting for work to in between my main project files, I asked an artist who I volunteer with at my local scouts group to make some art of my characters for any promotional material I make of my game. There were in an artistic course and I adored their art style a lot. Over the last 2 months, I asked them to draw my 3 main characters in their art style. Death, Time and Eternity were re-drawn following the character descriptions, concepts and mood boards I gave Apollo. Time in the final render is very quirky in their shape, proud of themselves, whereas death is as usual annoyed at Time. Eternity is by their lonesome in the background shadow of the other two waiting to reset the cosmos and be rid of Death and Time in front of them.
