This page mainly culminates the major aspects of my prototype submission, it also contains a full video showcasing the prototypes gameplay as well as screenshots of build notes and other art/cancelled ideas that never made it into the final build that I submitted. I shall also express my final thoughts, experiences of the level and my time working on it. Plus some sketches showcasing what I hoped the main character would look like.

Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger example

Wolf ranger example from Power Rangers Jungle Fury.

Here while making my vision of what the main character would loom like, I took inspiration from such shows as Power rangers and Super Sentai. Since both of these have their own creative skills to have a hero in a super suit with added armor over time for more difficult situations. The picture to the left has a diagram of a similar suits to mine from a show in the super Sentai series called "Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger" which was about animal spirits. The helmets are definitely similar  but my design is focused on a flying squirrel rather than a powerful wild animal like an eagle or leopard that could easily make the jump between long distances.
In the final version of the level/game, the player could use their Flying Squirrel glide pack to reach the other side incase their grappling hook either ran out of power or was lost/destroyed.

My design hierarchy and layers on my digital drawing of the Sky Hook level design in Illustrator.

A digital design done in illustrator of what a Domero what look like in the main game.

Domeros are robots that patrol the domed cities and defend their previous owners homes from invaders and scavengers like yourself the player. In the prototype that is submitted, the player encounter different versions of these enemies. The small purple one is the leader and has the same abilities as the player whereas the taller red ones are known as "Bullies" and often chase the player in pairs and try to form a wall to block the players movement. They can be a bit dim however and often bounce into each other and get stuck behind.
