In progress environment map for Hook, line & Sinker
This one map is a very cool design, I had initially copied the basic elements off my other smaller maps and then added lots of fine pencil colour onto it. I also added way more detail like hill lines and settlements and environment colour changes (lake water, ocean water and beach differences) I then brought this map into class even though I had not finished it and managed to photocopy it as well.
The rest of maps below and above are from being scanned and also from outside sources.

Stranraer map scanned geological map
Here above is my last map other than the one at the top which I have not fully coloured in yet. This map is a real life printed map of Stranraer in Scotland. It shows all the very fine details of the surrounding area, including hills, roads, height in land, beaches and the different sections where towns and villages are. It also shows where churches, ruins of castles and landmarks are. I got this from a library and photocopied it there.
There is a lot more map in the handbook it came from but the section I have here is where my game takes place, as in my story, the rest of the land has sunk into the ocean sea.

Dr Lloyd Cryptus family home. National trust.Red house. Bexleyheath
While on a trip to a wedding during my Easter break, I stumbled upon a place I had never travelled to before; Bexleyheath, a place of lush green open spaces and old timey houses. The picture above is of a place I wish to visit with more time in the summer but for the time being it was a great photo opportunity as to me it fits right in with the Hook, line & sinker environment. Titled initially as the "Red House" it is a national trust associated building and for my story it would work as the resident home of Dr Lloyd Cryptus. But it would be located east of Stranraer and not in Bexleyheath, south east of London as it would normally be.
In my story, Willow would either stumble across this building after the game or during her escape from the laboratory. This could be a stealth mission in the game and willow would have to avoid traps and not alert any neighbouring residents or guards. Willow story-wise could find documents about the past, her family or files about Dr Lloyd Cryptus and his father. There could be pieces of paper with written lies and truths about the doctor and maybe a passcode for a secret room underground.

Scenic shot of Stranraer still with bleakness in any emotion. Found in Danson park, Bexleyheath.
When ending my day at the wedding venue and exploring the land around it, I discovered Danson park which was a beautiful open area that was great for photography opportunities. The picture above showcase how vast the area is and just like the Red house, they both fit into the game environment of Hook, line & Sinker. This shot encapsulates the emptiness of Stranraer in my story and how bleak and dire the land has become. There is no colour or emotion and this is exactly how Willow feels when escaping the laboratory for the first time.
The small trees, the tall thin trees and the skeleton/naked like plants dotted around the park with only a bench or two every mile or so just show how left behind the area is. Sure it is not meant to be packed with tons of sculptures and smaller buildings but when you the player explore the outer lands from willow's perspective wishing to see so much joy and colour after being stuck in a boring cramped room for most of your life. You would expect to see something grand but alas here there is nought to see.
INDESIGN Portfolio progress

InDesign progress
Here is my first bit of process in making my InDesign portfolio. I tried my best to make it as nice as possible, I even found a better performance setting, so that the pictures aren't as pixelated.

I came into university to not only use the machines there but also work with no distractions. I managed to get some help from Jamie and Elijah on how my InDesign portfolio should be presented. I was able to change the colour of the text to white, green and purple and the background to white. My display is landscape because I had lots of pictures I wanted to showcase on it. I also managed to get lots more text than my blog on it too for more information.

Reflection
If i had more time planned out, I would've made my portfolio even more clever in design for InDesign. I will also be finishing my colouring on my bigger map to possible hang on my wall in my house.
